Getting Here
By Land
Once you are on Vancouver Island, the Comox Valley is only a 1 1/4 hour drive from Nanaimo or 2 1/2 hour drive from Victoria. Be sure to travel via the scenic Oceanside Highway 19A once you are north of Nanaimo or if time is of the essence, follow Highway 19. Coming from the North Island? The Comox Valley is only a 3 1/4 hour drive from Port Hardy. Highway 19 Exit numbers 87, 101, 117, 127, 130 and 144 will lead you to various points in the Comox Valley.
By Ferry
Regular ferry service links the British Columbia Mainland and Washington State to the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island. Riding a ferry provides an opportunity to stretch your legs, enjoy a meal, browse the gift shop and observe marine traffic and wildlife. It is a mini-cruise in the middle of your vacation.
BC Ferry terminals on Vancouver Island are located in Victoria (Swartz Bay) and Nanaimo (Departure Bay or Duke Point) with ferry service to/from the Vancouver area, Comox with ferry service to/from Powell River on the Sunshine Coast, and Port Hardy with service from Prince Rupert via the Inside Passage (www.bcferries.ca).

The Comox Valley Airport (YQQ) is centrally located, providing easy access to all points on central and northern Vancouver Island with daily direct flights from major cities including Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton with connections beyond. WestJet Airlines operates flights from Comox to Calgary with connections to Edmonton and many points east. Call WestJet at 1-888-937-8538 or 1-800-538-5696 for schedule information.
Flair Air charter service transports oil and gas construction workers to and from Fort Nelson. The flight originates in Kelowna with stops in Vancouver and Comox.
West Coast Air offers harbour to harbour flights between the downtown Vancouver terminal and the Comox Bay Marina. Call 1-800-347-2222 for reservations and schedules.

Harbour to harbour floatplane service is available between downtown Vancouver and the Comox Valley Marina (www.westcoastair.com).
Kenmore Air offers non-stop flights to and from Seattle Boeing Field to the Campbell River Airport, which is 35 minutes north of the Comox Valley. Call 1-866-435-9524 for reservations and schedules.
By Boat

By Train
The E & N Dayliner (VIA Rail) makes daily trips between Victoria and Courtenay. This small train offers a behind the scenes view of rural communities and Vancouver Island forests. For schedules contact VIA Rail at 1-888-842-7245.
By Bus/Taxi
Daily Greyhound bus service connects all parts of Vancouver Island with the Mainland. Throughout the Comox Valley and surrounding areas, local bus and 24 hour taxi services are provided.
